Privacy Policy
Arcadia Pilot ("we"/"us") cares about protecting your privacy. We offer our exploration flight game for download on supported devices and for online play through third-party platforms (the "Game"). We also maintain the Arcadia Pilot website (the "Website") where you can find information about our Game, company, and Services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, use, and share information about our players through the Game, the Website, and any related services (collectively the "Services"). Everything here is governed by our Terms of Service, which you should read. You can find the Arcadia Pilot Terms of Service on the Website.
CONSENT
When you use the Services, you're agreeing to let us collect, use, and share your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. Keep in mind that sharing Personal Information is always your choice. We collect two kinds of information through the Services: Personal Information and Non-Personal Information. This Privacy Policy doesn't cover information that privacy laws don't restrict, which includes: (a) publicly available information like names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses listed in directories or through directory assistance, and (b) Non-Personal Information (defined below). "Personal Information" means information that identifies you personally—your name, email address, things like that. We keep this information so we can provide the Services and stay in touch with you. "Non-Personal Information" is anonymous stuff like your Internet Protocol Address (IP Address) and data our servers automatically collect through your browser or cookies when you visit the Website. We also gather aggregate information such as how many people visit and where they're located geographically. This Privacy Policy focuses on Personal Information, but we're being transparent about Non-Personal Information too so you understand how the Services work.
TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
Registration & Forums: You'll need to create a player account and choose a username to use the Services. Your username is public and visible to anyone who accesses the Services (Game). The chat, profile walls, and forums in our Services let you connect with other flying enthusiasts. When you share information in public areas, anyone can see it and use it. Don't post Personal Information, and definitely don't share other people's Personal Information—that's against the Terms of Service. IP Addresses. Your IP address gets logged by your browser when you visit a page on the Website. We store this with your player account information and use it to diagnose problems players report that relate to specific IP addresses, understand how many people from different regions are visiting the Website and using the Services, and track down sources of malicious or illegal activity (like managing multiple accounts) so we can stop it faster. Arcadia Pilot Applications on Partner-Operated Websites: To use the Services (Game) on third-party websites like Steam, you'll usually need to be registered with that partner site and install an Arcadia Pilot application on your account there. When app installation is required, you generally have to agree to that partner's Terms of Service as well. Device IDs: When you download or install our Game, we get information like a unique device identifier. This helps us sync your Game to your specific device. The identifier itself doesn't include or give access to your name, address, or other personal details on that device. Support: If you email us or contact us another way, we keep those communications so we can handle your questions, respond to what you ask, and make our Services better. Player Feedback: We collect ratings and reviews from people using the Services. You're responsible for reading and following the rating policies of third-party providers like Steam or Epic Games Store. Use: We use your Personal Information to give you the game license, deliver the Services, settle disputes, fix problems, analyze how people use our Services, improve our content and products, catch and prevent fraud and criminal activity, send you system or admin messages, and anything else we tell you about when we collect the information. All this makes the Services safer, smoother, more fun, and more personalized for you.
DISCLOSURES & TRANSFERS
We have safeguards in place to protect your Personal Information at a high level. We won't disclose, transfer, or sell your Personal Information to third parties without your permission, except where this Privacy Policy says we can (check Important Exceptions below).
IMPORTANT EXCEPTIONS
We can share your Personal Information with third parties without asking you first if we believe it's necessary to identify, contact, or take legal action against someone who may be harming or interfering with our rights or property, other Website members, other people using the Services, or anyone else who could be hurt by their actions. We may disclose Personal Information when the law requires it and we believe in good faith that disclosure is required. Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits any legal defenses or objections you might have to a third party or government requesting your Personal Information. We may also share your Personal Information if we go through a corporate reorganization, merge with another company, sell most or all of our assets or stock, or conduct due diligence related to any of that, as long as whoever gets the information uses it only for the purposes this Privacy Policy allows. We sometimes use subsidiaries, affiliates, and third-party providers (called "Third Parties") to help us run the Services and host data off-site. We may share your Personal Information with these Third Parties when we use their services. We're careful to pick Third Parties we trust and believe can handle what we need from them, including keeping confidential information and Personal Information safe and following all applicable laws.
THIRD PARTY SITES & ADVERTISERS
Our Services use third-party tracking, data collection, and analytics tools from service providers like Game Analytics, Facebook, Admob, and Singular. These companies may use cookies, APIs, and SDKs in our Services to collect and analyze player and device data on our behalf. They can access and gather information about you like your device identifier, MAC address, IMEI, locale, geo-location, IP address, how you use apps, when you access them, what apps are on your device, and how you view and interact with ads. They do this to provide their services, including delivering advertising. Using the Services might connect you with various third-party vendors and websites. We don't share Personal Information with these vendors or websites, and we don't control their privacy policies. Whatever information you give them or how they use cookies and web beacons is governed by their privacy policy. If you're unsure about sharing Personal Information on another site, reach out to them directly and check their Privacy Policy. Ads on the Arcadia Pilot website and in the Services (Game) might come from us or from third-party web advertisers. Clicking an ad can take you somewhere we don't monitor or control. Third-party advertisers may set cookies so their ad servers recognize your computer when they send you ads. Ad servers might track where you saw their ads and which ones you clicked. This Privacy Policy doesn't cover third-party cookies, so check their privacy policies if you want to know more.
SECURITY
We take your Personal Information's security seriously. We use technical, contractual, administrative, and physical security measures to protect what you give us. We have procedures that limit who on our staff can access your Personal Information. That said, transmitting information over the Internet isn't completely secure. We do our best to protect your Personal Information, but we can't guarantee it's safe when sent through the Services. Any transmission is at your own risk, and we're not responsible if someone gets around our privacy settings or security measures. You're also responsible for protecting your own Personal Information. Never share your passwords, real name, or address. Don't use your real name as your username, and always log out and close your browser when you're done with the Website or using the Services (Game) online.
RETENTION
We keep your Personal Information only as long as it's needed for what we collected it for, or if the law requires us to keep it longer—which might extend past when our relationship ends. We may hold onto certain data to prevent fraud and abuse, for legitimate business reasons like analyzing anonymous data or recovering accounts, or when required by law. Any Personal Information we keep stays subject to this Privacy Policy.
ACCESSING AND DELETING PERSONAL INFORMATION
Right to erasure (right to be forgotten) – You can review, update, correct, or delete any Personal Information tied to your game account, and you can request that we close your account. To ask for access to, review, verify, correct, or delete your Personal Information, open an in-game support ticket or email our support team at info@arcadiapilot.online. We might not be able to change information if doing so would break a law or legal requirement or make the information wrong. We may ask you for specific information to confirm who you are and that you have the right to access your data, so we can give you what we hold or make your requested changes. Depending on applicable law, we might be able to refuse giving you access to some or all of your Personal Information, or we might have already destroyed, erased, or made it anonymous according to our record-keeping practices. If we can't provide access, we'll explain why, within any legal limits. We'll give you access to your Personal Information with some exceptions from privacy laws, such as information protected by lawyer-client privilege, information involved in a formal dispute process, information about another person that would reveal their details or confidential business information, or information that would cost too much to provide. For deletion requests, we'll do our best to remove your personal information from our records, but we keep certain records for legal and accounting reasons—things related to payments or customer service. We may also keep information to exercise or defend our rights. Even after deletion, we might still use anonymized, Non-Personal Information about what you do on our Services. If you have questions about exercising your rights, contact us at info@arcadiapilot.online anytime.
Withdrawing Your Consent
If you've given us permission to collect, use, transfer, or sell your Personal Information, you might have the legal right to take that back in certain situations or to object to how we process, transfer, or sell your Personal Information. To withdraw consent if you can, reach out to info@arcadiapilot.online. Just know that if you withdraw, we might not be able to give you certain products or services. We'll explain what that means for you when you decide.
TRANSFERRING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We might process, store, and transfer your Personal Information to a foreign country where privacy laws are different—maybe stronger, maybe weaker than Canada's. In that case, governments, courts, law enforcement, or regulatory agencies there might be able to access your Personal Information under their laws. When we work with service providers, including cloud providers, we require them to meet the privacy and security standards in this Privacy Policy and Canadian privacy laws. Feel free to contact us if you want to know more about our policies for service providers outside Canada. By submitting your Personal Information or using the Site, you're agreeing to this transfer, storage, or processing.
OUR POLICY REGARDING CHILDREN
If you're under 13, you need parental consent before using our Services. We won't knowingly contact or work with children under 13 without that consent. We encourage parents and guardians to watch and review how their child uses the Services. If you think a child has given us their Personal Information, or you're worried about how we collect, use, or share a child's information, or you want us to stop collecting or delete your child's Personal Information, contact us at info@arcadiapilot.online or use the address below. We'll try to remove that information from our systems and address your concerns.
AMENDMENT OF THIS POLICY
We can change this Privacy Policy anytime. If we do, we'll post a notice on the Website homepage. Small changes like clarifications take effect when we post them, while big changes take effect a month after we post them. Unless we say otherwise, our current Privacy Policy applies to all Personal Information. You'll see the date of the latest update at the bottom of this document. If you keep using the Services, that means you accept any changes we make.
